Who needs to verify their identity at Companies House?
Everyone who is a company director or a person with significant control (PSC) must verify their identity under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act. Anyone forming a new company or being appointed as a director now needs verified identity, and existing directors and PSCs are being brought into the regime over a transition period, prompted around their confirmation statement date. Agents who file for a company will also need to be verified.
Do I have to use an ACSP, or can I verify myself?
You can verify yourself directly through GOV.UK One Login at no charge. Many directors would rather not, and prefer to have it done properly by a registered professional in one short appointment. As an Authorised Corporate Service Provider we can verify you and confirm it to Companies House on your behalf.
What is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)?
An ACSP is a firm registered with Companies House and supervised for anti-money-laundering purposes to carry out identity verification and file on behalf of companies. Arro Group is a registered ACSP. It means we are authorised to verify director and PSC identities to the required standard and act as your trusted intermediary at Companies House.
Can you verify me if I am not an Arro Group client?
Yes. Identity verification is a standalone service. You do not need to move your accounts to us or be an existing client. Many people come to us purely to get verified quickly and correctly, and that is absolutely fine.
What do I need to bring?
