Frequently asked about funding & finance

What does this service actually cover?

Two distinct things in one place. First, the commercial finance work we do directly: identifying the right funding for your situation, preparing the lender pack, and introducing you to the right contact at the right bank or lender. Second, the regulated finance work we co-ordinate but do not provide ourselves: mortgages and pensions, where we refer to our trusted FCA-regulated partner firms. You get a joined-up view; the partner handles the regulated advice.

Which banks and lenders do you work with?

We have long-standing arrangements with the major NI banks and formal arrangements with a number of specialist loan providers covering asset finance, invoice finance, commercial mortgages, and growth capital. The right introduction depends on your sector, the size of the facility, and the speed you need. We make the call after we have looked at your situation.

Can you advise me on my mortgage or pension directly?

No, and that is deliberate. Mortgage and pension advice is regulated by the FCA and must come from an authorised adviser. We work alongside trusted mortgage brokers and independent financial advisers who hold those permissions. We make the introduction, share the financial information they need, and stay in the loop so the advice fits with the rest of your tax and accounts position.

What kind of business funding can you help me access?

Term loans for asset purchase or growth, asset finance for plant and vehicles, invoice finance and asset-based lending for working capital, commercial mortgages for owner-occupied or investment property, and refinance work where existing facilities are no longer fit for purpose. For very early-stage equity rounds or specialist transactions, we will tell you up front and bring in a corporate finance specialist if needed.

Do you take commission from lenders or partner firms?

Our work is charged to you directly on a fixed-fee basis, agreed up front. Partner firms (mortgage brokers, IFAs) are engaged and remunerated under their own client agreements, which they explain to you separately. We disclose any arrangement that could affect our advice; in practice the work we charge for is the identification, preparation, and ongoing support, not the introduction itself.

How is this service priced?

For commercial lending support we quote a fixed fee based on the complexity of the pack, the size of the facility, and whether we are attending lender meetings or simply providing the financials. For ongoing client relationships, light-touch funding conversations are often covered inside the existing engagement. Mortgage and pension partner work is priced and disclosed by the partner firm.
